The Sharpa Wave is a human-scale five-finger robotic hand offering 22 active degrees of freedom and high-resolution tactile feedback. It is designed to enable robots to perform precise, adaptive manipulation tasks that closely resemble human hand capabilities.

With proportions matched to the human hand and independent joint control, the Wave supports a wide range of grasping and tool-use actions. Its Dynamic Tactile Array provides real-time sensing of pressure, slip, and contact location, allowing the hand to adjust force and pose dynamically. The platform is validated for durability and integrates with major robotics software tools for simulation and control.

Targeted at physical AI laboratories, humanoid robotics projects, robot manufacturers, and research groups working on contact-rich and long-horizon manipulation tasks.

Challenges such as poor force control, limited sensing, or large sim-to-real gaps are common with lower-capability hands. The Wave’s combination of high DoF, dense tactile sensing, and software compatibility is intended to reduce these barriers.
